Fishing Update
Oct 31, 2016
- a new fishing mechanic has been added – you’ll have to stop the hook while over the success zone to hook a pokemon
- fishing speed has been increased (level affects the speed more)
- a smaller, green area has been added to the fishing hooking mechanic
- stopping the hook over this area will cause a perfect hook to happen, which increases experience gain by 1.5x for that encounter
Patch #3
- the fishing success zone will no longer spawn directly under the hook
- fishing speeds and hook rates have been reworked, you’re now able to encounter pokemon while fishing much quicker than before
